    A visit to the Philippine well-known tourist spots is must be in your top list. After all, these places became famous for a reason and can definitely give you a fantastic time. Oriental Mindoro, a province in the Philippines located in the island of Mindoro under MIMAROPA Region about 140 kilometers Southwest of Manila is a must place for your adventures.

    Since 2005, Oriental Mindoro is hailed as the country’s developing eco-tourism because of its center of marine fish biodiversity and being the home of the most diverse ecosystem in the world. It is a place where you can do so much recreational activities out of nature.

    Tired of beaches? This is the best place to enjoy the summer without having so much sun burn. With amazing landscape and pool and a beautiful sight of the river and community of Mangyan, surely, you’ll recommend it to your friends. The water on the pools freshly comes from spring and the coolness of it is like having a bucket challenge. It has also infinity pool and cottages available for a large family. It is located in the town of Baco and not too far from the city.

    2. NAUJAN LAKE NATIONAL PARK

    Naujan Lake National Park is the 5th largest lake in the Philippines habing an area of 8 125 hectares rising 20 meters above sea level with a maximum depth of 45 meters. It is bounded by the Municipalities of Naujan, Victoria, Socorro and Pola. It is the only protected area in Oriental Mindoro bcause of its numerous ecological functions, serving as a home, breeding ground and refuge as an integral part of the migratory route of wildlife. You can travel the lake through a banca in which you will also be amazed as it houses different migratory birds from different countries. The lake is the habitat also of the endangered freshwater crocodile, Philippine endemic fruit bat and Philippine deer. This is best for environmentalists and nature lover.

    3. PUERTO GALERA

    A BIOSPHERE RESERVE as declared by UNESCO and probably one of the most known attractions in Mindoro. It is blessed with natural wonders such as breathtaking beaches, coral reefs and gardens and diverse of flora and fauna. It introduces the divers to a marvelous world under the sea that is why it’s no wonder that this beach is hailed as one of the most beautiful dive sites in the Philippines.

This is a series of waterfalls that lead to the largest one where you can swim, experience the power of the falls and the coolness of its water, or just simply take pictures.

    Sabang beach is best for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving. This is famous for evening social events. You can see cottages with entertainment facilities stand close to each other and there are also floating cottages where you can enjoy the breeze of the sea while having fun. Low-budget accommodations are available. It is located in the East of Puerto Galera and can be reached by taking a jeepney or a banca.

    7. BUKTOT BEACH

    Buktot beach is a hidden paradise in Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro. It is a white sand beach ideal for family and group outings, having to experience exceptional beauty of the sun and sand. Open cottages, benches and bamboo tables are available for picnickers in cheap rates. The sand is incredibly white, soft and finest. Boracay finally finds its greatest nemesis in Buktot beach. It is a perfect place to enjoy the madness of the day, Boracay style, without the crowd.

    The nature’s best secret in Baco, Oriental Mindoro. It’s not a typical farm on which you can see cow, carabao, chickens, or fruits, but rather a breath taking river. It has cottages beside the wonderful sight of the river on which you can enjoy having a talk with your friends while munching something. Surely you’ll forget the luxury of the city as you are being one with nature.     Talon falls is located in the town of Pola, Oriental Mindoro particularly in Barangay Calima. The water that cascades from the mountain to the catch basin is ideal for swimming. The area is lush with green vegetation. The falls is about 5 meter high and 4 to 5 meter deep. It is shaded by trees and generously covered with limestone rocks. While there is no guiding system to the falls, you can get a guide for P150 for a group of less than 10 visitors from a Barangay Hall in Calima, 5 minute away from the jump-off point of the falls.

With only a cheap price, you can go in the “Manila Zoo” of Oriental Mindoro. There are lots of things that you can do in the park like having pictures with the life size images of animals, enjoying a tremendous zip line experience and seeing for real species of animals like tiger, eagle, monkeys, parrots, deer, ostrich, deer, varied fishes and many more while enjoying a good landscape. You will never imagine something like this in the heart of Calapan City.
